Boysen Hodgson, the Communications & Marketing Director for the nonprofit ManKind Project USA sits down with Marc Coppola to discuss the shifting ideas and ideals of being a “man” in today’s world – and some of the issues that change-agents like we at Valhala face. The ManKind Project has weekend trainings creating “New Warriors,” a huge network of men’s groups all over the world, and a mission of helping men find purpose in community to become the leaders and role models we need in today’s world. The Mankind Project is an interesting initiative looking to help people break the stereotypes of rigid gender roles, and help men and women be the people they want to be. We talk about finding and confronting the obstacles to fully living – including purpose work. You’ll be surprised at how this connects so fully to the work we’re doing at Valhala.
